Product Description

The KICKER KSS269 pairs 6x9-inch woofers with 2-3/4-inch mid/tweeters, a size combination many late-model vehicles actually use from the factory. Most component sets give you a 1-inch tweeter that looks lost in a large factory opening. The 2-3/4-inch driver fills that hole properly and carries more midrange, which keeps vocals connected to the woofer instead of floating above it.

Three custom bracket options come in the box, cut for GM, Ford, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and select Asian import factory locations. An in-line crossover network is included for each side, small enough to tuck into a door cavity or under a dash panel, which gives you freedom in where the mid/tweeter ends up.

The 6x9 woofers use UV-treated surrounds and produce the midbass that smaller frames cannot, with a bottom mount depth of 3-3/16 inches and a 5-11/16 by 8-7/16-inch mounting hole. Rated power is 15 to 100W RMS at 92 dB sensitivity, and frequency response runs 30Hz to 20kHz, low enough that the system holds its own before you add a subwoofer.

Typical installs include front doors in a full-size truck, rear deck plus door mid/tweeters in a sedan, or a front stage where the factory location already uses a large upper speaker. Flush mount the tweeter with a 2-5/8-inch hole at 1-1/4 inches deep, or use the included brackets to keep the original grille in place.

Features

    • Sized For Modern Factory Holes

The 2-3/4-inch mid/tweeter fills large upper factory openings that a 1-inch tweeter leaves gapping, so brackets and grilles still line up.

    • Midbass From A Big Cone

6x9-inch woofers move enough air to carry kick and bass guitar, letting the system stand alone before a subwoofer joins it.

    • Brackets For Five Brands

Three bracket options cover GM, Ford, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and select Asian imports, keeping the install on factory holes and hardware.

    • Crossovers That Fit Anywhere

Compact in-line networks hide inside a door cavity or behind a dash panel, so mounting location is dictated by acoustics, not space.

    • High Output On Modest Power

Sensitivity of 92 dB means the pair plays loud on a factory radio and scales up to 100W RMS per side when amplified.
