Product Description

The KICKER LX-Series is the company high-power premium amplifier line, designed in-house from the ground up around sound quality and real-world control. The LX1200.5 is a 5-channel Class-D amplifier that runs four full-range channels at 175W each into 2 ohms plus a 700W subwoofer channel from a single chassis, so one unit powers a full system instead of two amplifiers fighting for space and ground points.

The LX Control Center (LXCC) comes in the box and is the reason this amplifier is different from most. It is a wired panel that reads out battery voltage, amplifier temperature, output clipping and protection status in real time, and it adjusts gain trim, left-channel time delay and crossover type, slope and frequency. All full-range channels accept high-pass, low-pass or band-pass filtering with selectable 12, 18 or 24dB Butterworth and 12 or 24dB Linkwitz-Riley topologies. Time delay on the left channel alone pulls the stage toward center for the driver seat without a separate processor.

The LXRC dash remote handles the subwoofer section. It carries SHOCwave2.0, the second-generation sub-harmonic octave creation algorithm that rebuilds low bass content missing from compressed recordings, plus a fuel-gauge battery voltage display, RGB brightness control and a clipping indicator.

FIT+ technology accepts low- and high-level input up to 40V with differential inputs that reject the noise picked up in a factory wiring harness, so no line output converter is needed on most vehicles. Gain-match LEDs show correct gain setting during tuning. The center panel is reversible and the RGB accent lighting offers 11 colors. Dynamic power is 1,500W, and protection covers thermal, circuit and voltage conditions.
