Product Description

The MWF124 is a 12-inch free-air marine subwoofer that mounts straight to a baffle and uses the sealed space behind it, so you get big bass without surrendering a locker or half a storage compartment to a box. It handles 225 to 450W RMS at 4 Ohms with 900W peak, covers 20 to 500Hz, and rates 86dB sensitivity.

The cone is polypropylene co-molded to a TPE surround, a pairing that stays stiff under power while resisting water, sun, and temperature swings. A polycarbonate bridge seated on a ribbed silicone gasket forms a vibration-resistant seal at the mounting surface, which matters even more in a free-air install where the baffle does the work of an enclosure. The glass-infused nylon basket takes heat and abuse better than stamped steel. KICKER Real Marine construction adds marine-compliant terminals and splash-and-spray resistance, and the sub meets or exceeds ASTM B117 200-hour salt/fog and ASTM G154 400-hour accelerated UV testing.

Mounting takes a 10-3/4-inch hole with 5-3/4 inches of depth and a 12-15/16-inch outer diameter. The baffle needs to be rigid and well braced, and a thin panel may require a backing plate to keep it from flexing under load.

RGBW LED lighting is built in for night use. A charcoal grille is included and the MWGW white grille is sold separately. Typical spots include bow bulkheads, helm panels, pontoon side walls, and under-seat baffles in side-by-sides.

Features

    • Bass Without Giving Up Storage

Free-air mounting uses the sealed space behind a baffle rather than a box, so a bow locker or console keeps its cargo room and still gets low end.

    • Full-Size Output, No Box

      A 12-inch cone rated 225-450W RMS with 86dB sensitivity and 20-500Hz response brings enclosure-level weight to a panel-mount install.

    • Weather Where It Matters

A polypropylene cone co-molded to a TPE surround stays stiff under power while resisting water, salt, and UV that destroy paper cones outdoors.

    • Sealed Against Vibration

A polycarbonate bridge on a ribbed silicone gasket creates a tight seal at the mounting surface, which matters most when the baffle acts as the enclosure.

    • Tested, Not Just Labeled

The sub meets or exceeds ASTM B117 200-hour salt/fog and ASTM G154 400-hour accelerated UV standards, so marine claims come with real test criteria behind them.
