Launchkey 61 MK4

Launchkey 61 MK4 is an all-in-one DAW controller with five octaves of semi-weighted, waterfall-style keys, 16 patented FSR pads, nine faders, and eight endless encoders. Five octaves cover two-handed parts, wide voicings, and split setups without transposing mid-take.

DAW support is built in for Ableton Live, Logic, Cubase, Reason Studios, Reaper, FL Studio, and Ardour, covering transport, timeline movement, mixing and EQ, clip launching, and device parameters with no configuration. In Ableton Live Session View or Logic Live Loops, the pads work as Launchpad-style clip launchers with RGB backlights matched to the screen. The nine faders and eight encoders handle mixer levels, sends, plugin parameters, and effects.

The FSR pads use a radial sensor per pad for higher sensitivity and steadier response, and they read polyphonic aftertouch, so pressure after the hit works as a modulation source. Pads also trigger chords or single notes.

Creative tools run on the hardware. Scale Mode locks the keys to one of 30 scales or to white keys only, Fixed Chord triggers a full chord from one key, Chord Maps place progressions on the pads, and the arpeggiator mutates sequences. Chord Detector names the chord you are playing on the OLED display. Split divides the keyboard into two zones, and Layer sends the same notes to two MIDI channels at once.

A full-size 5-pin MIDI output connects hardware synths with no computer required, and Custom Modes store four mappings each for faders, pads, and encoders through Novation Components. Ableton Live 12 Lite, GForce synth emulations, Orchestral Tools, Klevgrand, and Melodics lessons are included.
