DLM8

The Mackie DLM8 is a full-range powered loudspeaker that puts 2000W peak (1000W RMS) of Class-D power into a cabinet a third smaller than a traditional two-way box. Its TruSource driver stacks an 8" woofer and a 1.75" compression driver on a shared magnet, so highs and lows arrive from the same point and coverage stays consistent across the room instead of a narrow sweet spot. TruSource DSP handles the tuning, keeping vocals clear when the speaker sits on a pole at a wedding reception or on its kickstand as a floor monitor.

The built-in DL2 digital mixer turns the DLM8 into a two-channel PA on its own. Each channel has XLR/TRS combo and RCA connections, level, 3-band EQ, and a choice of 16 effects including reverb, chorus, and delay, all set from a bright OLED screen. A multi-band feedback destroyer keeps ringing out of the room, six speaker modes match the voicing to the application, alignment delay up to 300 ms lines up a delay stack or balcony fill, and three memory slots recall your settings for rooms you play often. Smart Protect DSP watches the amp and driver so hard nights do not turn into repairs.

At 22 lb in a PC-ABS cabinet with a powder-coated steel grille, one person can load a full DLM system into a compact car. Pole-mount it on a tripod, fly it on M10 hardware, wall-mount it with the SWM300 arm, or stand it up as a personal monitor.
