Mackie DRM12A 2000 Watt 12" Arrayable Powered Active Live Sound DJ PA Speaker

The Mackie DRM12A is a 12" arrayable powered loudspeaker with a 2000W Class-D amplifier, built for shows where one pair of tops has to cover the whole room. A 12" high-excursion woofer handles low end without breaking up, and a triple 1" titanium diaphragm compression driver array spreads highs across a 110-degree horizontal pattern, reaching 135 dB max SPL.

Advanced Impulse DSP is what separates it from a typical powered box. FIR filters correct the frequency and time response of each transducer, on and off axis, so honky midrange and mushy low end get cleaned up before the signal reaches the drivers. The result holds together across the coverage zone, not just directly in front of the cabinet.

Setup happens on the DRM Control Dashboard, a high-contrast full-color display run by one knob. The overview window shows level metering, EQ, and voicing at a glance. Array presets cover one cabinet, two cabinets, three to four cabinets with a long-throw option, and an independent sub setting, so a small array configures in about a minute. Add 3-band parametric EQ, alignment delay for delay stacks, six user presets, and a 4-digit system lock for installs.

Power comes from a universal 100-240 VAC supply with Power Factor Correction, which holds output steady on unstable venue power, and next-gen protection circuitry guards the transducers. The 15mm plywood cabinet has internal bracing, a touring-grade textured coating, and a powder-coated steel grille. Fly up to four DRM12A cabinets and two DRM18S subwoofers from the optional FB100 fly bar, or use the dual-angle pole mount for a stage rig.
