The Mackie DRM12A-P is the passive version of the DRM12A, made for rigs that already have amplification and processing racked up. Power handling runs 500W continuous, 1000W program, and 2000W peak, so it takes a serious amplifier without complaint.

Inside is the same custom driver set as the powered model: a 12" high-excursion woofer for low distortion and solid bass, and a triple 1" titanium diaphragm compression driver array for clarity across a 110-degree horizontal pattern. The cabinet is 15mm plywood with internal bracing, a touring-grade textured coating, and a powder-coated heavy gauge steel grille, built for rental stock that goes out every weekend.

Parallel SpeakON inputs make daisy-chaining straightforward, and the rigging matches the powered cabinets: seven M10 flypoints with integrated hardware, plus a dual-angle pole mount. With the optional FB100 fly bar you can fly up to four DRM12A-P cabinets and two DRM18S-P subwoofers as a small array, which suits clubs, houses of worship, and production companies building systems around amp racks.

Pair it with MX Series amplifiers and the optional SP260 loudspeaker processor for custom EQ curves and crossovers, so a passive system lands close to the tuning of the powered version. At 55 lb, it stacks, poles, or flies depending on the room.
