EM-89D + DMS40

This bundle pairs the Mackie EM-89D dynamic vocal microphone with a Rockville DMS40 desktop boom arm, setting up a complete podcast or home studio recording chain in one purchase. The EM-89D handles both onstage performance and studio recording, with a cardioid polar pattern that rejects peripheral noise and rugged, built-like-a-tank construction that holds up to daily use. It works equally well on vocals and instruments, and comes with its own XLR cable, mic clip, and zipper pouch, so it is ready to plug in the moment it is out of the box.

The DMS40 gives that mic somewhere sturdy to live on a desk instead of a floor stand eating up space. Its articulating boom arm reaches a full 40 inches across two 20-inch sections, so you can position the mic exactly where you need it without moving your monitor, keyboard, or notes. A C-shaped aluminum alloy desk clamp fits any desk under 2 inches thick, and internal springs keep the arm's positioning quiet and controlled, an important detail when you are recording and do not want a squeaky boom arm on the track. Durable steel-frame construction and sturdy clamps and springs mean it holds its position through long recording or podcasting sessions. Together, this bundle covers the mic and the mount for anyone setting up a desktop recording or broadcast rig.
