FreePlay LIVE

The Mackie FreePlay LIVE is a 150W portable stereo PA with a 4-channel digital mixer built in, made for gigs and events where there is no time or space for a rack. Rated power is 150W RMS / 300W peak, with response from 65 Hz to 20 kHz and 114 dB max peak SPL, which covers a coffee shop set, a school assembly, or a backyard party.

Two microphones, a guitar, and a Bluetooth music source can all run at once. Bluetooth streaming handles playback and backing tracks from a phone or tablet, and the mixer adds 3-band EQ per channel, 16 digital effects including vocal reverbs and delays, a feedback destroyer, and four voicing modes matched to different applications.

The FreePlay Connect app for iOS and Android puts all of it on your phone, so you can clip the phone to a mic stand and adjust your own mix while performing, or set levels quietly from a podium instead of walking back to the speaker.

Power is flexible. Run it from AC with the detachable line cord, go cordless with the optional lithium-ion battery pack for up to 10 hours, or fall back on 8 D-cell batteries when that is what is available. At 11 lb and 17.8" x 9.5" x 9.1", it fits in a car trunk with room left for the rest of the gear, which is why it lands with mobile worship groups, presenters, buskers, and karaoke nights.
