Mackie MR524 5” 50 Watt Powered Active Studio Monitor Class A/B Bi-Amped Speaker

MR524 is a 5" powered studio monitor built for mix translation, which means what you hear at the desk holds up in a car, on earbuds, and in a club. A 5" polypropylene woofer and 1" silk dome tweeter are powered by 50W of bi-amplified Class A/B power, each driver getting its own amplifier section, and the pair covers 45 Hz to 20 kHz with precise acoustic alignment across the range.

The logarithmic waveguide is the part you notice first. It widens dispersion, which stretches the listening sweet spot and sharpens stereo imaging, so small head movements do not change your mix decisions and a second person at the desk hears the same picture you do.

Rooms are rarely ideal, so the monitor adapts. Acoustic space filters keep response flat when the monitor sits against a wall or in a corner, and an HF filter adds or cuts high frequencies to compensate for a dull or bright room. Flexible inputs connect to almost any source, from an interface to a mixer to a console.

The cabinet is all wood with custom internal bracing for stiffness, which cuts distortion and tightens low frequency response, plus acoustic absorption material inside to control reflections. Add the companion MRS10 subwoofer when a project needs deeper low end for electronic music or hip-hop.
