Mackie Onyx Artist 1.2 2x2 USB Audio Recording Studio Interface

Onyx Artist 1.2 is a two-in, two-out USB audio interface that gets a mic and a guitar into your computer at 24-bit/192kHz. The single Onyx mic preamp is the same lineage used in Mackie consoles, with the fidelity and dynamic range to record a vocal or an acoustic source cleanly, and 48V phantom power for condenser mics.

The second input is a 1/4" TRS jack with a Hi-Z switch, which sets the right load for electric guitar, bass, and other passive pickups so your tone does not thin out on the way in. Zero-latency direct analog monitoring routes your input straight to the headphone and monitor outputs, so you hear yourself in real time no matter what buffer size your software is running.

Outputs cover a pair of studio monitors, and the headphone output has enough power to work for tracking as well as listening. The whole interface is bus-powered over USB 2.0, so a laptop is all you need for a session in a hotel room, a dorm, or a spare bedroom.

The chassis follows the Built-Like-A-Tank approach and the unit weighs 1.1 lb, light enough to live in a backpack. Recording software and a bundle of 16 plug-ins, including equalizer, compressor, reverb, limiter, and auto filter, are included and work with all major recording programs on Mac or PC.

It fits singer-songwriters, podcasters, content creators, and mobile recording setups.
