Onyx8 is a 8-channel analog mixer with a 8x4 multitrack USB interface built in, so the same board that runs your show also records it. 4 Onyx mic preamps provide up to 60dB of gain with the low noise and headroom that make loud stages and quiet vocals both work, and premium analog circuitry keeps the signal path clean end to end.

Recording happens two ways. Send 8x4 of 24-bit/96kHz audio to a Mac or PC over USB for a full multitrack session you can mix later, or record your main mix straight to an SD card with no computer at all, which is the fast way to capture a service, rehearsal, or gig. A channel-assignable 4-track USB return brings computer audio back into the mix, and a dedicated switch sends the main mix to USB for streaming.

The full-color display and single-knob interface handle effects editing and SD card browsing, recording, and playback, with dedicated buttons for previous, next, record, and play/pause and up to 6 user effects presets. The digital effects engine covers reverb, delay, chorus, and more with adjustable parameters and its own EQ.

Every channel gets 3-band Perkins British-style EQ with a sweepable midrange and a hard bypass switch, Hi-Z switches let you connect guitars and basses directly, and mic channels include a 100Hz low-cut filter and 48V phantom power. Bluetooth streaming pairs a phone for walk-in music or backing tracks. The heavy steel chassis, sealed rotary encoder, backlit mute and solo buttons, and QuickGrip side cheeks are built for constant load-ins.
