The PS1-216 is a premium 6.5-inch two-way component system, which means separate woofers, separate tweeters, and external crossover networks instead of a single coaxial driver. That separation lets you mount the tweeter at ear level in a sail panel or A-pillar while the woofer stays in the door, putting the stage in front of you rather than at your knees. Each channel handles 60W RMS and 120W peak, or 120W RMS and 240W peak as a system, at 4 ohms. Response runs 55Hz to 22kHz with 88.9dB sensitivity and a 12dB per octave crossover slope. The tweeter is a 1-inch magnesium dome using WideSphere Technology, with a tunable waveguide, removable phase lens, and hardware for both surface and flush mounting. Crossover networks are passive Cauer topology Butterworth filters built with low loss polypropylene film capacitors and air wound coils, in housings compact enough to hide behind a trim panel. Woofer cones are aerated pop paper with a Mica blend on a curvilinear profile tuned for upper midrange detail, mounted in an aerospace grade PA66 composite frame with 30 percent glass fiber. High temperature wire on a Kapton former, PTC tweeter protection, molded polymer sealing gaskets, and stainless steel push and insert connectors round out the build. Grills are included. Cutout is 5.59 inches with 2.48 inches of mounting depth and a 6.57-inch outside diameter.
