The RW1-164 is a 6.5-inch dual 4-ohm subwoofer that handles 300W RMS and 600W peak, which is unusual power handling for a driver this size. That combination is the point: it fits behind seats, under seats, and in the tight enclosure volumes that trucks, small cars, and side-by-sides leave you, without giving up the ability to take real amplifier power. Dual voice coils let you wire to 2 or 8 ohms depending on driver count and what your amplifier prefers. The basket is heavy gauge powder-coated aluminum die-cast with back venting, which exchanges hot air behind the motor for cool air and raises both power handling and reliability. A vented aluminum former carries a 1.5-inch voice coil while moving heat out, and less heat means less distortion as a session goes on. Cone motion stays linear through a pressure treated double stitched foam surround paired with a specialized dual poly cotton spider with double centering. The cone itself is non-pressed paper with a protective coating, and push and insert terminals make wiring straightforward inside a cramped box. Sensitivity is 83dB, cutout is 5.94 inches, mounting depth is 4.17 inches, and outside diameter is 7.16 inches. MB Quart recommends a vented enclosure, with the sound quality alignment at 0.50 cubic feet tuned to 45Hz using a 2.5-inch port 8.13 inches long, which puts the 3dB down point at 41Hz.
