The Metra 40-CR10 antenna adapter connects a factory antenna lead to an aftermarket radio, so AM/FM reception keeps working after a head unit upgrade. It covers 2002-up Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles plus 2006 GM and Ford applications, and it terminates in a snap-lock connector that mates directly with standard aftermarket receiver antenna inputs.

Build quality is the difference here. Terminals are hand assembled and pressure sensitive, so they keep their grip instead of splaying or breaking while you work blind behind a dash. The housing is heat resistant, which matters inside a dash cavity that heats up through the summer.
