The Metra 70-1721 is the harness for the 1998-2005 Honda and Acura generation: sixth and seventh-gen Civics, CG and CM Accords, RD CR-Vs, Element, Pilot, S2000, RSX, MDX and TL, plus Suzuki Aerio, Grand Vitara and XL-7. It plugs into the factory radio connector and terminates in color-coded leads matched to standard aftermarket radio wiring, so wiring a new receiver is a matter of pairing colors instead of probing for accessory and illumination wires. The OEM harness stays intact, so the vehicle goes back to stock whenever you want. Seven-inch pre-stripped leads give you the slack to crimp or solder outside the dash opening and then pack the bundle back in behind the radio, which is welcome in the tight Civic and Accord dash cavities.
