Product Description

The Metra 82-7805 mounts 6" to 6.75" aftermarket speakers in the 2006-2011 Honda Civic and the 2009-2014 Acura TL. The plates are cut for these vehicles, so they use the factory speaker location and screw points without any drilling or trimming.

Both of these cars respond well to a speaker upgrade because the factory units are the weak link, not the acoustics. Getting a proper 6.5" or 6.75" speaker mounted solidly is most of the improvement, and a correctly shaped plate is what makes that possible without cutting into a door.

The adapter holds the speaker frame rigid under power and seals the opening so low frequencies load against the door rather than escaping behind the panel. That is where the added midbass people notice actually comes from.
