Pair Metra 82-7806 6.5" Speaker Adapter Plates Fits 1998-2007 Honda Accord

The Metra 82-7806 mounts 6.5" and most 6.75" aftermarket speakers in a wide range of Honda and Volkswagen vehicles. The plates install directly into the factory speaker location, so no drilling is required.

The breakaway tab design is the practical detail. Mounting tab positions vary between speaker brands, and instead of forcing you to modify the plate, the extra tabs snap off so you keep only the ones your speaker actually uses. That turns a fitment problem into a ten-second decision.

Because the plate is rigid and seals the opening, the speaker loads against the door properly and holds its alignment under power. On the Volkswagen models especially, where factory door speakers are the limiting piece, that is where the improvement in midbass comes from.
