METRA 95-9012 Double-Din Dash Radio Installation Kit for 1999-2006 Volkswagen VW

The Metra 95-9012 provides an ISO double-DIN radio provision in the dash of 1998-2006 Volkswagen models, covering Golf 1998-2006, GTI 1998-2005, Jetta 1998-2005, and Passat 2000-2005.

These are among the most modified cars of their era, and the factory head unit is usually the first thing owners replace. The kit sets a double-DIN receiver in the factory radio position with an ISO mount, so the unit sits at the correct depth and the panel meets surrounding trim cleanly.

Wiring and antenna connections are handled separately. Metra lists the 70-1784 or XSVI-9003-9003-NAV harness and the 40-VW54 or 40-EU55 antenna adapter for these vehicles, all sold separately. Order the right harness and adapter with the kit and the electrical side becomes a plug-in job instead of a splice-and-hope exercise.
