The Metra 99-8901 mounts a single-DIN receiver in the 2005-2009 Subaru Legacy 2.5i and Outback 2.5i with manual climate controls, and it keeps the factory climate controls in their original location so heat and air conditioning still work the way you expect. The recessed DIN opening sets the radio slightly back for a factory look, and Metra patented Quick Release Snap In ISO mount system with custom trim ring holds the chassis firmly while still allowing removal. A storage pocket below the opening includes built-in radio supports, so the pocket carries weight rather than sagging. The panel is high-grade ABS plastic, contoured, textured, and painted gray to match the surrounding dash. All hardware needed for the install is included along with a full instruction set for this application.
