The Metra 99-9600 mounts a single-DIN aftermarket receiver in 1998-2013 Harley-Davidson Touring FL models with fairings. The one-piece body is molded in ASA plastic, which holds its shape and color through sun exposure and vibration better than general purpose plastics, and it gives the radio durable support on a chassis that shakes constantly. A rubber trim gasket seals the perimeter against moisture and damps vibration, which protects the receiver from the two things most likely to kill it on a bike. The kit includes an ISO DIN radio provision and a wiring harness, plus a pre-wired ASWC-1 connection so handlebar controls can be retained once the ASWC-1 module is added, sold separately. That keeps volume and track changes on the bars where your hands already are.
