AXXESS by Metra AXGMLN-04 Radio Interface adaptor for 2006-2007 GM/Chevy/GMC

The AXGMLN-04 lets you replace the factory radio in an amplified 2006-2007 Chevrolet HHR, Pontiac Solstice, or Saturn Sky while keeping the vehicle electronics that depend on the OEM head unit. It installs between the GMLAN data bus and your aftermarket receiver, translating factory signals so the rest of the car behaves the way it did before the swap.

OnStar stays fully functional, with an adjustable volume output so calls come through at a level matched to the new receiver. Safety and warning chimes are retained on a separate adjustable output, so door, key, and seatbelt alerts still sound instead of disappearing with the factory radio. Retained accessory power keeps the receiver live after the ignition is off until a door opens. A dedicated output reproduces the audible turn signal sound, and navigation outputs are included for receivers that need vehicle speed, reverse, and parking brake signals.

The module is USB updatable, so firmware revisions can be loaded instead of requiring new hardware. That helps shops that keep inventory on the shelf and owners who plan to change receivers again later.

This fits a straightforward single-DIN or double-DIN upgrade where the goal is Bluetooth, CarPlay, or Android Auto without cutting the factory harness. Because it plugs into the existing wiring, the dash can be returned to stock at any time, which matters at trade-in or resale. For amplified HHR, Solstice, and Sky systems, it handles the data translation a basic wiring harness cannot do on its own.
