The MTX 3512-02 is a 12" car audio subwoofer for systems that need serious low end on a sensible amplifier budget. It carries features from the larger MTX SuperWoofer lines, so it plays hard and stays clean over long sessions instead of falling apart at volume.

A single 1.75" 2-ohm voice coil handles 250 W RMS and 500 W peak, matched to any mono amplifier in the 125-250 W RMS range. Frequency response covers 26Hz - 130Hz at 86 dB sensitivity, and the high sensitivity means you hear more output from every watt you feed it.

The MTX Inverted Apex surround uses a narrower profile than a traditional half roll, adding cone surface area so the woofer displaces more air (28.53 cu in) and reaches higher SPL. A progressive suspension controls excursion at high power to cut distortion, and Spider Plateau Venting directs cool air at the voice coil for consistent output. The 56 oz magnet assembly supplies the motor force behind it.

Install it in a sealed box of 1.0 cu ft with a mono amplifier. Sealed gives you tighter, more accurate bass for rock and acoustic material, while a vented box trades some accuracy for extra output on hip hop and electronic tracks. It works in trunks, hatchbacks, truck cabs, and custom fabricated boxes, and a second woofer doubles the low end when your amplifier can support it.
