A high-efficiency treated paper cone gives the RTX128 a 96.0 dB sensitivity rating, converting more amplifier power into audible output than a lower-sensitivity driver would, which matters when several speakers share the same amplifier channels. The single 8-ohm voice coil keeps the wiring predictable across a multi-speaker array, avoiding the impedance mismatches that come from combining different voice coil configurations.
