THUNDER1000.1 Mono Class D Amplifier

The MTX THUNDER1000.1 is a mono subwoofer amplifier built to deliver serious power from a small chassis. It's rated at 1000W RMS at 1 ohm (600W at 2 ohms, 350W at 4 ohms) with up to 2000W peak, using a high efficiency Class D topology that minimizes power loss to heat during long, loud sessions.

Surface mount technology keeps the internals compact and vibration resistant, so the amp holds up to the bumps and rattling of daily driving better than amps built with traditional through-hole parts. On the control panel, a variable low pass filter, selectable bass boost of 0, +6, or +12dB, and a subsonic filter give you the tools to dial in a subwoofer's response, especially useful when running a vented enclosure. Set screw connections on both the power and speaker terminals accept up to 1/0 AWG wire for power and ground and 12 AWG for speakers, keeping every connection secure and minimizing power loss between the amp and the rest of the system. Thermal, DC offset, and short circuit protection round out the design for safe long-term use.
