The Terminator TN12-02 is a 12" single voice coil subwoofer rated 200W RMS and 400W peak at 2 ohms, built as a straightforward way to add real low end to a first system or replace a tired factory sub. Recommended amplifier power is 100 to 200W RMS, which keeps the pairing simple with most compact mono amps. Response runs from 24Hz to 160Hz, low enough to reproduce the bottom octave in most music. The motor uses ALDS geometry with a flat progressive spider and extended pole piece for linear, piston-like cone motion, which holds distortion down as excursion increases. Spider Plateau Venting moves cool air directly at the voice coil during play, so the sub holds up through long, loud listening sessions. A polypropylene cone with a rubber surround resists heat and humidity better than paper alternatives, extending service life in a trunk that bakes in summer.
