The Terminator TN12-04 is a 12" single voice coil subwoofer rated 200W RMS and 400W peak at 4 ohms. The 4-ohm load makes it the right choice when you plan to run two subs in parallel on a 2-ohm stable amplifier, or when your amp produces its rated power into 4 ohms. Recommended amplifier power is 100 to 200W RMS. Response covers 24Hz to 160Hz, reaching the low notes that door and rear deck speakers cannot reproduce. The motor uses ALDS geometry with a flat progressive spider and extended pole piece so cone travel stays linear and piston-like as excursion increases, which keeps distortion in check at higher volume. Spider Plateau Venting pushes cool air at the voice coil while the sub plays, holding temperature down through long sessions. The polypropylene cone and rubber surround handle trunk heat and humidity without the fatigue paper cones show over time, and an MTX logo dustcap finishes the look.
