Product Description

The NovaStar VX400 combines video processing and LED sending into one box, so a single unit handles signal input, scaling, and screen control. Four Gigabit Ethernet ports drive up to 2.6 million pixels, with a maximum output width of 10,240 pixels and height of 8,192 pixels, which covers ultra-wide banner screens and tall vertical walls that would otherwise need multiple sending devices. Inputs include two HDMI 1.3 ports, DVI, 3G-SDI, and an optical fiber port, with input and output resolution up to 1920x1200 at 60Hz. Two layers can be resized, repositioned, and re-prioritized during a show, and an internal source can act as the sync reference to keep cascaded units aligned. With low latency and Bypass mode both on, delay from input to receiving card drops to 20 lines, which matters when the screen sits beside a live performer. Three working modes (video controller, fiber converter, and Bypass) let one piece of inventory cover different roles from job to job. Two fiber outputs copy or back up the four Ethernet ports for long cable runs, and hot backup works both between devices and between Ethernet ports, so one failure does not take the wall down. Up to 10 user-defined presets store screen setups for repeat events. Pixel-level brightness and chroma calibration through NovaLCT removes panel-to-panel color drift, while SuperView III image processing handles stepless output scaling, free input cropping, and one-click full screen display. Automatic brightness adjustment reads an external light sensor to track changing venue light. Operators can work from the front-panel knob and buttons, NovaLCT, or V-Can. Power runs on 100-240V AC at 50/60Hz, and the 1U chassis fits standard racks for rental, stage, and fine-pitch installations.

Features

    • One Box Instead Of Two

Video processing and LED sending share a single 1U chassis, cutting a rack of separate scaler and sending units down to one device to set up and troubleshoot.

    • Capacity For Oversized Walls

Four Gigabit Ethernet ports drive 2.6 million pixels at up to 10,240 pixels wide or 8,192 pixels tall, covering wide banner screens and tall vertical walls.

    • Built For Live Camera Work

Low latency and Bypass mode together reduce input-to-receiving-card delay to 20 lines, keeping screen content in step with performers on camera and in the room.

    • Redundancy That Protects The Show

Two fiber outputs copy or back up the Ethernet ports for long runs, and hot backup between devices and ports keeps the wall lit if one path drops.

    • Consistent Color Across Panels

Pixel-level brightness and chroma calibration through NovaLCT corrects panel-to-panel drift, while SuperView III adds stepless scaling, input cropping, and full color adjustment.
