Launchkey 49 MK4 White

Launchkey 49 MK4 White is a DAW controller in a white and grey finish, built around 49 semi-weighted, piano-style keys, 16 velocity-sensitive FSR pads, nine faders, and eight endless encoders. The keybed pairs a software workflow with hardware feel, and Split and Layer modes divide the keys into two zones or stack two MIDI channels across all 49.

DAW integration is custom for Ableton Live, Logic, Cubase, FL Studio, Reason, Bitwig, and Ardour, with HUI support for everything else. Switch between plugin, mixer, sends, and transport modes from the hardware, and in Ableton Live use the built-in Sequencer, Drum Rack, and Clip modes to build and launch ideas without the mouse. Workflow buttons cover Capture MIDI, metronome, quantise, and undo or redo, so a missed take can still be recovered.

The 16 FSR pads read polyphonic aftertouch through a radial sensor per pad, giving tighter finger drumming and the option to trigger chords or single notes. Eight encoders and nine faders control mixers, plugins, and effects, with four Custom Modes stored for each so layouts recall instantly.

Creative tools stay on board: Scale Mode locks the keys to one of 30 scales, Chord Detector shows the current chord on the 128 x 64 OLED display, and the generative arpeggiator includes an eight-step editor with tie, accent, and ratchet controls. Chord Map, User Chord, and Fixed Chord cover progressions and transposition.

Connections include USB-C, a 5-pin MIDI out socket, a 1/4 in. sustain pedal socket, and a Kensington security slot. NKS support links Native Instruments software to the controls. Ableton Live Lite, Cubase LE, Komplete 15 Select, GForce heritage synths, Klevgrand R0verb and Luxe, and Melodics lessons are included.
