Launchpad X puts 64 velocity- and pressure-sensitive RGB pads to work as Novation's core Ableton Live grid controller, built for launching clips, playing gear, and mixing without reaching for a mouse. Dynamic Note and Scale modes keep basslines, melodies, and chords in key, and one-press Capture MIDI, mute, solo, and record-arm controls put full transport control on the grid. Eight storable Custom Modes, built through Novation Components, remap the pads for almost any MIDI setup. It's USB-C bus-powered with no drivers to install, and Novation backs it with a three-year warranty. It works as well as a first grid controller for Ableton Live as it does a lightweight second unit layered into a bigger rig.
