PT01 Scratch Portable DJ Turntable

The Numark PT01 Scratch is a portable turntable made for DJs who want to scratch and cut away from a booth. Its Adjustable Scratch Switch sits right on the deck for cutting the signal by hand, and it unscrews so you can reposition it for right-handed or left-handed technique. The switch performs longer than ordinary sliders and is user-replaceable, so a worn part never sidelines the deck. A removable red slip-mat handles everything from light cuts to heavy-handed routines.

Playback covers 33 1/3, 45, and 78 RPM, so scratch records, LPs, and older 78s all spin at the correct speed. The cartridge is already included, so setup comes down to unpacking and dropping the needle. Plug a phone or any audio source into the 1/8" stereo input to run a beat underneath your routine, set the level with the gain control, and push it through the built-in speaker. RCA stereo outputs feed a mixer, amp, or recorder, and the headphone output keeps late-night practice private.

The USB connection is class compliant, so the PT01 Scratch hooks straight to a Mac or PC and records vinyl digitally with free downloadable software, no extra interface needed. Power comes from the included AC wall adapter, or six "D" cells (not included) when there is no outlet nearby.

At 4.3 lb and 11.9 x 11.9 x 4 inches, it travels in a backpack or under one arm. The hard case shell and protective dust cover take the knocks of transit, and the red handle makes it a one-hand carry from the practice room to a park, a rooftop, or a friend’s basement session.
