The NYC Acoustics NSE212L puts two 12" subwoofers, a ported enclosure, and a Class D mono amplifier into one box, so a full bass system goes into a vehicle in a single install. Run power, ground, and RCA and you are finished. If your head unit has no RCA outputs, the high-level speaker inputs let you tap the existing wiring and keep the factory stereo in the dash.

The amplifier puts out 600W RMS and 1800W peak. An adjustable low pass crossover from 40Hz to 250Hz keeps midrange out of the subs, and bass boost up to 18dB adds weight to tracks that need it. Power and protect LEDs report status at a glance, and auto-start music sense wakes the amp on the speaker-level input.

Each 12" subwoofer runs a 2" four-layer high temperature aluminum voice coil, a 50 oz ferrite magnet with a vented core, and 12mm peak-to-peak excursion, for output from 30Hz to 450Hz at 4 ohms. The non-pressed Kevlar reinforced paper cone moves more air for higher output, while treated high density foam surrounds and 3D molded acrylic dust caps hold up to hard, sustained playback.

The enclosure is 5/8" MDF with a front port tuned by computer modeling for output and low-end accuracy, wrapped in aviation grade black tweed carpet with an embroidered logo. Blue LEDs are built in with a remote to control them, so the box looks finished with the hatch open.

At 33.85" wide, 14.17" deep, and 15.35" tall, the NSE212L fits SUV cargo areas, covered truck beds, and most trunks, in daily drivers as well as show cars.
