DB100 Laptop DI Box

The DB100 Laptop DI Box connects consumer audio gear to a PA system without noise or ground-loop hum. Plug its 3.5 mm connector into the headphone jack of a laptop, tablet, or digital music player and the box converts the unbalanced signal to a balanced, mic-level XLR output that mixers and high-powered amplifiers accept directly. The integrated 10' cable reaches sources placed away from the stage box, so a laptop can sit on a side table and still land a clean feed at the snake.

A volume knob sets output level between source and amp, useful when a laptop output runs hot or when you need to match levels with other channels. The ground-lift switch cuts hum caused by ground loops between a computer power supply and the PA. Passive, transformer-based operation means no power supply, no batteries, and full electrical isolation between source and sound system.

The specs stay clean: 0.008% distortion, 20 Hz-20 kHz frequency response, 87 dB signal-to-noise ratio, 20 dB input attenuation, and stereo-to-mono summing. A rugged metal enclosure holds up to gig bags, road cases, and repeated setups.

Use it for walk-in music from a phone, backing tracks from a laptop at a wedding, presentation audio in a conference room, or a click feed at rehearsal. At 4.7" long it disappears behind a podium or tucks into a gig bag pocket.
