DB2150 Stereo USB DI Box

The DB2150 Stereo USB DI Box turns digital audio from a computer into discrete stereo analog XLR signals ready for long cable runs to a mixer or PA. Connect it over USB 2.0 and Windows or macOS recognizes it as an available soundcard, so playback works without drivers or setup screens: plug in, pick the output, and go.

Conversion runs at a 96k sample rate with 90 dB of dynamic range and 10 Hz to 20 kHz response, bypassing the noisy headphone jack of a laptop entirely. The 3.5 mm headphone output lets you check what you are sending before it hits the room. A ground-lift switch clears ground-loop hum, per-channel transformer isolation switches let you break the loop on one side only, and the mono-sum switch collapses a stereo source to a single feed when the console has one channel free.

Passive circuitry keeps distortion low and needs no power beyond the USB connection. The heavy-duty metal enclosure with nylon bumpers protects the internals in a gig bag or road case, and at 0.70 lb and 5.75" wide it travels alongside a laptop.

It suits DJ sets running off a computer, walk-in and backing tracks at a live show, conference and projector audio, and house playback in a bar or gym where the feed has to travel a long way to the amp rack.
