MB1200.1D Mini Bang Series 1200W Mono Amplifier

The Planet Audio MB1200.1D is a Class D monoblock amplifier made for subwoofer duty in a small chassis. It is 1 ohm stable and puts out up to 900W RMS at 1 ohm, 450W RMS at 2 ohms, and 225W RMS at 4 ohms, so a single sub or a pair wired down to 1 ohm gets consistent power. Because the amp pulls heavy current at that load, pair it with a healthy electrical system and low gauge power wire.

Class D switching is what makes the size possible. It runs cooler and draws less current than a comparable Class A/B design, which is how this much output fits into a 7.57" by 5.12" footprint. That matters in a build where the only space left is under a seat or behind a rear panel.

Controls cover what a bass system actually needs: a variable low-pass filter to set the subwoofer's upper limit, a variable subsonic filter to cut frequencies the driver cannot reproduce, a fixed high-pass crossover, variable bass boost, and variable gain to match output level to your source unit. Too much gain leads to distortion and too little leads to clipping, so having it adjustable keeps the sub clean. High-level and low-level inputs connect the amp to a factory radio or an aftermarket deck without an adapter, and switchable input sensitivity keeps levels in range. The included remote subwoofer control mounts in the cabin for quick bass level changes between tracks.

A MOSFET power supply feeds the output stage, and thermal and short-circuit protection shuts the amp down if it overheats or a speaker fails. Illuminated end panel strips finish the look when the amp sits in view.
