MOFO1-6KD

The MOFO1-6KD is a monoblock Class D car amplifier built for subwoofers that ask for serious current. It makes 1,100W RMS at 4 ohms, 1,700W RMS at 2 ohms, and 2,500W RMS at 1 ohm, with 6,000W max power, and it stays stable at 1 ohm under continuous load.

The chassis is the part people notice first. Rather than a wide, flat box, the MOFO1-6KD stands upright on a die-cast aluminum four-leg pedestal, measuring 5.75" square by 7.00" tall. That vertical tower layout frees floor space in a trunk, and the included bracket lets you mount it to a wall or panel when horizontal space is tight. It fits custom builds, false floors, and compact installs where a traditional amp rack will not go.

Tuning is on board. The variable low-pass filter covers 80Hz to 20kHz, the subsonic filter runs 15Hz to 80Hz, and bass boost is adjustable from 0 to 12dB at 45Hz for more low-octave harmonics. RCA input sensitivity spans 200mV to 6V and accepts a balanced signal, so it works behind a factory system with a line output converter or an aftermarket head unit. The included dash-mount remote keeps subwoofer level within reach from the front seat.

Protection circuits cover direct short, thermal, and overload conditions, with on-board protection mode and signal clipping indicators. Power and ground terminals take 4-gauge wire with a 0-gauge adapter included, and direct-connect speaker outputs accept 8-gauge.
