NB-1

The NB-1 is a pair of car audio tweeters that take over the high frequencies where factory speakers give up. Each one uses a niobium rare-earth ferroelectric transducer with a polypropylene diaphragm, a design that works without a voice coil, so there is no coil to burn out under sustained power. Each tweeter handles 100W RMS and 180W max.

Sensitivity is rated 97 dB and frequency response runs 5kHz to 25kHz, putting the NB-1 in charge of cymbals, string detail, and vocal texture that larger speakers roll off. A built-in crossover blocks the low frequencies a tweeter is not meant to play, so you can wire the pair in without adding an external passive network.

Mounting is where these fit the widest range of vehicles. Surface and angle mounting are both supported, and mounting depth is just 0.625", so they go into door panels, A-pillars, sail panels, kick panels, dash corners, or custom pods without deep cutting. At 4 ohms they work with factory head units and aftermarket amplifiers alike, either added on top of coaxial speakers to sharpen the top end or used as the high-frequency section of a component front stage.
