RE2-1000D

The RE2-1000D is a two-channel car amplifier for speakers, a bridged subwoofer, or both at once. It makes 125W RMS per channel at 4 ohms, 250W RMS per channel at 2 ohms, and 500W RMS bridged into a single 4-ohm load, with 1,000W max power, and it is stable down to 2 ohms per channel.

Tri-mode capability is the reason this amplifier fits so many builds. Run a pair of component or coaxial speakers off the two channels, bridge it to a single subwoofer, or wire tri-mode to power both from one amplifier when space and budget only allow one chassis. Variable 12dB high-pass, low-pass, and subsonic crossovers, plus variable 12dB band-pass crossovers, let you send each output the frequency range it should handle.

Input sensitivity spans 200mV to 6V with high-level or low-level RCA input, so it works behind a factory head unit using speaker-level signal or an aftermarket deck with preamp outputs. Direct short, thermal, and overload protection circuits cover the usual failure conditions in a car environment.

Direct-wire terminals accept 4-gauge power and ground with 12-gauge speaker output. At 7.75" x 8.5" x 2.2" the chassis is small enough for an under-seat mount or a side panel in a hatch, which makes it a practical pick for a first-stage front speaker upgrade or a compact two-way system in a small car or truck.
