The FaderPort 16 puts sixteen channels of your mix under your hands at once. Sixteen touch-sensitive, motorized 100 mm faders give real-time control of levels and automation, and 89 buttons cover 104 different functions, all in a chassis that fits on a normal desk at 19.6 inches wide and 8 lb. A keyboard and mouse still handle what they do well; the FaderPort 16 handles the part you actually want your fingers on. Riding sixteen faders at once makes balance decisions faster than clicking one channel at a time, and writing automation passes with a fader feels like performing rather than drawing. Sixteen digital scribble strips show track names and values so you always know what you are touching. The Session Navigator section gives one-button access to eight functions: scroll the timeline with the large encoder or move measure by measure with the arrow buttons, zoom horizontally and change track heights, drop and jump between markers, and hold control of the main level. Console management buttons show or hide audio tracks, inputs, MIDI tracks, buses, outputs, VCAs, and FX, so you can put just the software synth tracks on the faders when automating them. Full transport, automation mode, and channel controls are dedicated buttons, and faders switch to plug-in editing, bus sends, or pan. Support for Mackie Control and HUI protocols covers virtually any DAW with no driver installation, and Studio One integration is native with Studio One Artist included. A footswitch input handles hands-free start and stop.
