StudioChannel Recording Vacuum Tube Mic Preamp Strip

The PreSonus StudioChannel combines a Class A tube microphone preamplifier, a VCA-based compressor, and a three-band parametric EQ in a single rack-mount channel strip, giving you one signal path that can shape a track from input to output without stacking separate boxes. The preamp stage is built around a hand-selected 12AX7 vacuum tube run at double the voltage of typical preamps in its class, delivering high headroom and a big, warm tone on vocals, guitars, bass, and keys. Dual Gain and Tube Drive controls take the sound from clean and transparent to edgy and overdriven.

The onboard VCA compressor runs fast, with full control over threshold, ratio, attack, release, and makeup gain, so you can tame a hot vocal take or a snappy snare hit without losing the transient. The three-band parametric EQ handles sweeping highs, lows, and a variable-Q midrange, letting you carve out problem frequencies or add character before the signal ever reaches your DAW. A precision analog VU meter tracks gain reduction and output level in real time.

Set up in a 1U rack space, the StudioChannel gives home and project studios a single hardware channel that replaces a separate preamp, compressor, and EQ for recording vocals, instruments, and full band tracking sessions.
