The ProX XB-DJCL is a ZeroG Series hard-shell case for large DJ controllers, and it lands exactly between a plywood ATA case and a padded gig bag. The molded EVA exterior is reinforced copolymer, the interior is lined with high-density foam, and the whole case weighs 6 lb, so you get case-level protection at bag-level weight. Interior space is 29.00" x 17.00" x 3.00", which covers most large controllers in the DDJ-1000, DDJ-1000 SRT, XDJ-RX, DDJ-SX2, DJ-808, and MCX8000 size class. EVA is the reason this works: it is rigid enough to resist crush, but it will not split the way hard plastic does, and it weighs far less than wood and steel. A ProX lamination process bonds the cover material to the formed foam interior so the shell does not delaminate after a season of travel. A tough zipper runs the length for easy loading.
