This kit pairs two Rockville DPM5W 5.25" bi-amped active monitors with a set of RRS190S foam isolation pads, solving the most common problem in desktop monitoring: surface vibrations that muddy your bass. Each DPM5W delivers 150W peak through separate Class D amplifier channels for the 5.25" polypropylene woofer and 1" neodymium silk dome tweeter, processed by ADAU 1701 DSP and TPA3116 amplification inside a high-grade MDF enclosure. The frequency response runs 55 Hz to 20 kHz with 0.10% THD for flat, honest playback. The RRS190S high-density foam pads sit under each monitor and absorb the vibrations that would otherwise transfer into your desk or stand, which shows up as boomy, inaccurate bass in your mixes. Each pad is 7.5" by 9.5" and includes a 2-part angled insert that offers flat, +/-4, and +/-8 degree tilt options so you can aim the tweeters directly at your ears from any desk height. The pads support up to 100 lb, so they can also decouple other studio gear like turntables or external drives. Rear panel controls on each monitor include volume, high-frequency adjustment, and low-frequency adjustment. Inputs cover XLR, 1/4" TRS, and RCA.
