RCM02 + DMS40

This two-piece kit pairs the RCM02 aluminum condenser microphone with the DMS40 40-inch boom arm and desk clamp, giving you a studio-quality recording setup that keeps your desk surface clear. The DMS40 clamps to any desk up to 2 inches thick and provides two 20-inch arm segments that rotate and lock, reaching a full 40 inches from the clamp point. Internal springs handle the weight of the mic silently, so repositioning never introduces noise into a take.

The RCM02 is built from aluminum with a steel grille, giving it the durability of a much heavier mic while keeping handling weight manageable at 0.84 lb. Its cardioid polar pattern captures sound from the front and rejects off-axis noise, and the frequency response from 30 Hz to 20 kHz reproduces vocals and instruments with clarity and depth. Sensitivity sits at -29 dB with a noise floor under 18 dBA, so even quiet acoustic passages come through clean. Two 10-foot copper cables ship in the box: a 3.5mm-to-XLR for direct computer recording and an XLR-to-XLR for connecting to a mixer or interface with 48V phantom power. The included metal shock mount and metal anti-wind cap handle vibrations and close-mic air movement. The whole rig locks into place at the desk edge and swings the mic wherever you need it, then folds back when you are working on something else.
