RCM02 Studio Recording Condenser Microphone+Shock Mount+Vocal Shield

This recording kit pairs the RCM02 aluminum condenser microphone with the RockShield 3 five-panel microphone isolation shield, giving you a way to control room reflections and ambient noise without building a vocal booth. The RockShield 3 wraps around the back and sides of the microphone with 2-inch-thick high-density pyramid acoustic foam backed by a vented metal plate. That combination absorbs reflections that would otherwise bounce off walls and back into the mic, producing a drier, tighter recording that is easier to mix. The shield mounts to a compatible mic stand or sits on its own tripod foot on any flat surface, and it includes a 5/8-inch mic adapter for direct attachment.

The RCM02 sits inside the shield on its included metal shock mount, picking up vocals and instruments through a cardioid polar pattern that already favors front-facing sound. Adding the shield behind and beside the mic takes that focused pickup even further, reducing the room's contribution to the recording. Frequency response covers 30 Hz to 20 kHz with -29 dB sensitivity and a noise floor under 18 dBA. The mic is built from aluminum with a steel grille, and the shock mount absorbs stand vibrations. Two 10-foot copper cables connect to a PC or a mixer with 48V phantom power. The shield panels are made from high-grade steel, and the assembled unit measures 17.5 by 16.1 by 7 inches.
