Product Description

This studio kit bundles the RCM03 aluminum condenser microphone with the PSP5 48V phantom power supply, giving you everything you need to run a condenser mic even when your recording gear does not supply phantom power on its own. The PSP5 sits between the mic and your recording device, taking in an XLR signal and outputting it with 48V of clean phantom power through a balanced XLR connection. Its aluminum housing keeps the signal path free of interference, and the included DC 5V adapter powers the unit from a standard outlet. At just 3.9 by 3.5 by 1.6 inches, it fits into any desk layout.

The RCM03 uses a 16mm electret condenser diaphragm in a cardioid polar pattern, tuned for natural vocal and acoustic reproduction across 30 Hz to 20 kHz. A 74 dB signal-to-noise ratio and sensitivity of -29 dB mean the mic captures detail in quiet passages without adding self-noise. The aluminum body with steel basket handles regular use, and the included metal shock mount keeps vibrations out of the recording. Two 10-foot copper cables ship in the box: a 3.5mm-to-XLR for connecting to a computer and an XLR-to-XLR for routing through the PSP5 or a mixer. A metal anti-wind cap rounds out the package. This combination opens up your connection options, letting the RCM03 work with gear that would not normally support a condenser microphone.
