SMS1

The SMS1 is a combination flange and shockmount for Samson Contractor series gooseneck microphones, the CM15 and CM20. It installs flush into any flat surface, so the gooseneck rises out of the podium, lectern, conference table, or council desk with no visible base and nothing to knock over.

The shockmount portion isolates the microphone from the surface it sits in. Papers sliding across a lectern, a hand resting on the table, or a speaker gripping the podium edge all send vibration into the wood, and without isolation that noise arrives in the sound system as thuds and rumble. The SMS1 reduces surface and shock noise while holding the gooseneck in a secure, fixed position.

Because it is a permanent flush installation, mic placement repeats exactly for every speaker and every event. Nothing walks off between meetings, and there is no setup step before a session starts.

It suits fixed installations: houses of worship, courtrooms, city council chambers, boardrooms, lecture halls, and conference rooms running Contractor series gooseneck mics.
