guitaRF

The guitaRF does three jobs at once: it acts as a Reflexion Filter in front of a guitar cabinet, it holds two microphones, and it provides the fine-positioning hardware to place them exactly where you want.

The mount takes a large-diaphragm condenser or ribbon alongside a dynamic or small-capsule mic, and both capsules can be aligned so they sit in phase with each other. That solves the usual problem with two-mic cabinet setups, where the blend goes thin and hollow because the capsules are a few centimetres apart. Here you get the weight of one mic and the bite of the other in a single, phase-coherent blend.

The filter side controls what the mics pick up beyond the speaker. On a loud stage it cuts bleed from drums and monitors; in a rehearsal room or studio it reduces room reflections around the cabinet for a tighter, more direct sound. Both happen without the coloration a blanket or improvised baffle introduces.

Because everything mounts on one stand, you also lose a second stand and its cable run, which means less clutter and fewer tripping hazards in tight stage positions. The hardware is stable, with a detachable floor mount compatible with professional mic stand threads. It works on electric guitar and bass cabinets, acoustic guitar, and drum kit sources in live rooms and studios.
