MC01 Microphone Clip

The MC01 is a microphone clip built for one specific job: holding the sE6160 shotgun microphone and the sE DM1, DM2, and DM3 inline devices firmly in place.

Inline preamps and DI boxes left hanging in a signal chain pull on XLR connectors and drag cables out of position, and a shotgun mic that rotates in a loose clip changes its pickup axis mid-take. The MC01 grips the body snugly so nothing slips, rotates, or swings, while still releasing quickly when you need to reposition or pack down. Mounting is tool-free, which matters on a set where the rig changes between shots.

That combination suits broadcast, film, podcasting, and live sound work. Boom operators keep the shotgun pointed exactly where they aimed it, and engineers running an inline booster keep the device supported instead of dangling from a connector. Construction is made for repeated setup and teardown in studios, on stages, and on location.

The clip measures 45 x 25 x 68 mm and weighs 40 g, with an included thread adapter at 10 g, for a total net weight of 50 g. It adds almost nothing to a boom pole or stand while keeping the rig tidy and predictable.
