RF Pro Black

The RF Pro Black is a 25th anniversary limited edition of the original Reflexion Filter, finished in black chrome with red accents and an anniversary badge. The acoustic design is the RF Pro: patented multi-layer construction that absorbs room reflections evenly across the spectrum.

Mounted on a mic stand behind the capsule, it absorbs the reflections that arrive a few milliseconds after the direct sound and make untreated rooms sound boxy and distant. Because the absorption stays balanced from low to high frequencies, the take comes out closer and drier without the thin, filtered character that single-layer shields leave behind. Nothing needs undoing with EQ afterward.

The black chrome finish is the reason to pick this version over the standard one: on camera it looks the part behind a vocalist in a video session, and it stays visually quiet in a dark room rather than reflecting light back at the lens.

Setup uses the included mounting bracket, screw wrench, and mic stand thread adapter, with height and distance both adjustable. Each unit is hand-made in the sE factory. It works on vocals, acoustic guitar, guitar and bass cabinets, strings, piano, woodwinds, brass, kick, and room mics.
