Product Description

The Soundcraft Notepad-12FX is a 12-channel analog mixer with a built-in 4x4 USB audio interface and Lexicon digital effects. Four mono channels run Soundcraft mic preamps on combo XLR/line inputs, two of them switchable to Hi-Z so a guitar or bass connects directly. Two stereo 1/4" line inputs with trim and an RCA stereo pair take keyboards, playback, and other line sources.

Each mono channel carries high, mid, and low EQ plus pan, level, and aux send, so you can shape a source and feed a monitor or effects path without patching. An output fader with LED metering and a rotary headphone level control give a clear read and quick adjustments at the desk.

The Lexicon effects engine puts reverb, chorus, and delay with tap tempo inside the mixer. Vocals get depth and drums get space with no plug-ins or outboard rack, and the effect prints to your recording when you want it there.

The 4x4 USB interface carries audio to and from a Mac or PC over one cable, so the mixer doubles as your recording front end. USB return is summed with the RCA pair on channel 9/10, which keeps playback and monitoring simple. Mac connection is plug-and-play; PC use calls for the Soundcraft driver.

A metal enclosure and a compact footprint make the 12FX practical on a home studio desk, in a rehearsal room, at a podcast table with several guests, or on a small venue gig. The channel strip layout follows conventional console logic, so anyone with desk experience is immediately at home and newcomers pick it up quickly.

Features

    • Four Mic Inputs With Room To Grow

Four combo XLR/line channels run Soundcraft preamps, two switchable to Hi-Z, so a guitar or bass plugs in directly without a separate box.

    • Studio Effects Without The Rack

Lexicon reverb, chorus, and delay with tap tempo run inside the mixer, adding depth to vocals and space to drums with no plug-ins involved.

    • Records Both Ways Over USB

The 4x4 USB interface carries audio to and from a Mac or PC on one cable, so the mixer doubles as your recording front end.

    • Tone Control On Every Channel

High, mid, and low EQ plus pan and aux send on each mono channel let you shape a source and feed monitors without patching.

    • Built To Travel

A metal enclosure with XLR and 1/4" connectors takes rehearsal-room and gig-bag treatment, and the compact footprint fits beside a laptop on a desk.
